LA 8.3.1 Speaking: Students will develop, apply, and refine speaking skills and strategies to communicate key ideas in a variety of situations (students had to summarize their best help tip for each station and write it and speak it to the class).
LA 8.3.1.c Select and utilize appropriate visual and/or digital tools to enhance understanding for specific audiences (would a meme work best? would a tweet? how should the tip be conveyed?)
LA 8.3.1.d Convey a perspective with clear reasoning and valid evidence (back up your tip--why should the next group follow your advice?)
LA 8.3.1.e Ask pertinent questions to acquire or confirm information (this was when I would make my rounds--students could ask me one or two questions to help them over any bumps)
LA 8.3.2 Listening: Students will develop and demonstrate active listening skills across a variety of situations (receivers of the tips and working through the NearPods)
LA 8.3.3 Reciprocal Communication: Students will develop, apply, and adapt reciprocal communication skills (our social skills were tested to the max because the lessons and activities could be frustration and could not be performed individually).
LA 8.3.3.d Listen, ask probing questions, and interpret information being communicated and consider its contribution to a topic, text, or issue under study (mostly with the jumper unit and when giving help to groups at other stations).
LA 8.4.1 Information Fluency: Students will evaluate, create, and communicate information in a variety of media and formats (textual, visual, and digital) (from creating media albums to writing tweets to help other groups, we fully hit this objective).
