I am Santha Walters and I'm a technology curriculum integration specialist in Gretna, Nebraska. I've taught everything from 6th grade through 200 level college courses in English in the last nineteen years. It's been a fun journey and I"m ready to share my experiences in the classroom with technology.
I was educated at the University of Alabama and gradated with an undergraduate degree in Russian Language and Literature in 1993. During that time, I participated in the Study Tour of the Former Soviet Union and lived in the Russian House. After graduation, I pursued and obtained my Masters in Secondary English Education. With my post graduate work completed, I began working at Shelton State Community College where I taught classes as adjunct faculty for the English Department, the College of Continuing Education and the Community and Corporate Education Department. From there, I moved to the secondary world and bounced from Alabama, to Tennessee, to Virginia and finally settled in Gretna, Nebraska where I partner with the teachers and staff to integrate and innovate technology solutions in the high school curriculum. . I love promoting technology in the classroom and believe computer literacy is as important to this generation as reading literacy was to previous generations. |
